I’m happy to announce that Seedbed will be publishing my book Organic Wesley: John Wesley in Conversation with the Contemporary Food Movement. Seedbed will also be producing and publishing a series of video lessons on food ethics, narrated by me and filmed here on the farm. Both projects should be out later this year!
The book had its origin in the masters thesis I defended last year. Seedbed is a Wesleyan publishing house and is, I think, the ideal publisher for this book. They have been enthusiastic and supportive and I’m really pleased to partner with them on this.
Of course there is still the small matter of finishing the book and creating the videos, but the contract is signed and I’m looking forward to getting these resources into peoples’ hands. I’m tempted to pontificate about the importance of sustainable agriculture and ethical eating, but I’ll resist (for now). Suffice it to say that I am excited about helping get this word out and optimistic that good will come out of it. I think folks are going to be surprised to discover how relevant Wesley’s teachings are to this conversation.
