The Last Two

We’ve had a lot of kids born on the farm this winter.  As far as I can tell there are only two pregnant mamas left–Fancy and Madonna.

Given that goats seem to prefer kidding in the worst possible weather, I rather expected yesterday’s sleet would have prompted the last two to deliver.

But, alas, the waiting continues.

Maybe today.

Lettuce Start Planting

Ahead of the latest rain/sleet/snow I was able to get started on planting lettuce.

Deer-proofing them. We hope.

Of course the “wintry mix” means we won’t be planting our potatoes today.

But that’s OK.  It feels good to have gotten started.
