Fall Planting

We finally finished our fall planting yesterday.  Once it dried out enough to work the ground I got on it.  It took several days to finish, but everything is in the ground now.  We put in more than we’ve ever planted before.  We’re either preparing quite a feast for the deer, or we’re going to have a lot of food to find a home for this fall.

We planted:

Brussels sprouts
broccoli
cauliflower
kale (four varieties)
collards
carrots
radishes
turnips
turnip greens
beets
Bulls Blood (beet greens)
Swiss Chard (two varieties)
spinach (two varieties)
Tokyo bekana
yukina savoy
joi choi
cabbage (two varieties)
senposai
lettuce (five varieties)
Chinese cabbage
upland cress (Creasy greens)
tatsoi
mustard greens
daikon radishes
radicchio
and probably some other things I’m not remembering right now

Now it’s time to get to work on all the other things I’ve been neglecting while doing the planting.
