Population Explosion

We’ve had 12 kids born over the last couple of weeks.  And just as it was beginning to seem that we could only have bucklings on this farm, six of them are female.

We love seeing kids frolicking in the pasture.

Here a few random photos of some of the new babies.   Of course Miracle got a post all to herself.

The photo with the horse is my favorite – it’s beautifully composed, and gives a good sense of the relative size of the kid.

I’m sure you’ve said, but what breed of goats are these? I’ve decided they’re Boer. Most of the goats I see here are Spanish or other breeds that are useful for brush control. They’re nice, but these are much cuter.

Thanks. I liked that photo a lot too. A shame though that the kid wasn’t facing the camera.
Yes our goats are Boers. They have their pluses and minuses, but we love them.
By the way, I’ve been meaning to tell you how much I enjoyed your story about the pet squirrel. Amazing. And beautifully written.

Oh, I love your goats! I wanna come to your house and play with your kids! We had goats when I was little and I really do miss them. Thanks for visiting me today!
