Transitioning

The summer gardens are starting to die out, just as our fall gardens are springing to life.  The tastes of late summer will give way to the tastes of fall, and soon we’ll be eating fresh garden greens and broccoli instead of fresh blackeyed peas and watermelons.

We’re not the only creatures on the farm who will miss the watermelons.
