Our sweet potato garden is lush and green, harboring what promises to be a bountiful harvest. Next to it is a garden which should be blanketed in kale, but is instead mostly bare. But even with the kale failure, we have lots of delicious fall greens. The turnip greens, mustard greens and collard greens are coming on strong.
That is the way of the farm–this one, at least. For every disappointment, we have multiple reasons to be pleased.
So we’ll have plenty of greens to carry us through till Spring. The broccoli, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts look great too. Once again, our cup runs over.
This is a stunningly beautiful time of year here. I’d like to be able to show that with photos, but my camera has given up the ghost. Unfortunately the camera on my phone only produces low quality photos, like the one above.
So y’all will just have to take my word for it.
