Last week I learned that I’d have to make one last trip back to Tampa, to tie up some loose ends at the office. Because I’d already brought my car to Virginia, and because it was too late to get a reasonable air fare, Cherie and I made the 700 mile trip by car yesterday.
So once again I’m in Tampa. But this time it’s only for a couple of days and having Cherie with me makes it much more bearable. And knowing that it’s all over after this gives it a strange, but satisfying, feeling.
My last day in the office will also be my 51st birthday. Then it’s time to figure out what I’m going to be now that I’m grown up.
