The Lusanne International Congress for World Evangelization met in Cape Town, Africa from October 17-24. The event drew Christians leaders from around the world and the delegates represented the rich diversity of contemporary world Christianity.
But unfortunately the delegates from one of the fast growing Christian communities were unable to attend. Hundreds of Chinese delegates were detained by Chinese authorities and prevented from leaving the country, despite having earlier been given permission to attend. Not content with that, the Chinese government launched a cyber-attack on the Congress’ website, to prevent the proceeding from streaming to China, or anywhere else for that matter.
How many billions of dollars will American Christians send to China this year? It is sad that our addiction to their cheap crap funds persecution of believers there.
