According to my ipod, it would take me 15.4 days to listen to all 5,793 songs that I have on it. Considering how infrequently I listen to it, it will probably take years to shuffle through them all. Yet I never feel like I have too much music. To the contrary, I often find myself wishing I had more (mostly my old records that haven’t made the jump to digital). That way of thinking is sadly normal.
We got a lot done on the farm today and I have a nasty blister as evidence of that. I hurried to get our planting finished, just in case we get a visit from Hurricane Earl. We’d been delayed a couple of weeks already by a lot of rain. We really needed the rain but I start to fret when I’m thrown off my normal schedule. Even though I would have preferred to plant a little sooner, we should be fine, absent an early heavy frost.
Our three nannies who I had down as now due aren’t showing any signs of being pregnant. I expected them to kid in August, but it didn’t happen. In fact, we’ve never had any kids born in August. Funny that. We know well that they don’t mind kidding during the coldest part of the year.
Just some random thoughts at the end of a beautiful day.
