Our beloved Jack settled into his bed Wednesday night and he never woke up. Cherie found him there yesterday morning, still tucked under his covers as she had left him. But he was gone.
It is a hard blow in what has seemed a cruel month on our farm.
When we found Jack six years ago, he was starving. He had been abandoned–most likely discarded like trash because he wasn’t a good hunter. Cherie and the kids nursed him back to health and Jack ended up White Flint fat and happy. He was loved and he had a very happy life.
It is very sad to have to say goodbye to Jack.
