I’ve been meaning to plug this documentary about the national debt for a while. It was released last summer, and I was excited about it hitting theaters. I had hoped it might have the kind of impact that An Inconvenient Truth had. But alas, drowning polar bears get more attention that impending national bankruptcy. It had only a brief, limited theater run, before the DVD was released, and didn’t get the Oscar documentary nomination that we’d hoped for.
Even though this film is only a little over a year old, last year’s national orgy of debt makes the shocking numbers in the movie seem almost tame now.
